Civil War Reenactment

Civil War Reenactment: "Presenting the past to preserve the future." The WCWA sponsors living history encampments and battle reenactments from 1861 - 1865. Come watch a battle, visit the confederate and union camps and see the surgeon’s tent and sutleries. Entry fee required.

Fur Trade Encampment
June 19 - 20, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Visit the years 1810 - 1825 by talking with trader, voyageur, trapper and Métis and Indian "daughters of the country" reenactors. Explore their camps and lodges while viewing flintlock guns, tools, equipment, leather goods, hand-stitched clothing and a fur trade canoe. Participants can observe a number of activities, including cannon salutes, open-fire cooking, flint and steel fire-starting, flintlock demonstrations and period music and games.

Nine Mile Recreation Area will be open for the season starting April 15, 2010
Boat launch and day use areas are available
April 15 through October 15, 2010.
Camping is available
May 15 through September 15, 2010.
