Picnic sites abound at Riverside State Park. Here is a more detailed guide for choosing the ideal picnic site for you!

Location Number of Picnic Tables Comments
Bowl and Pitcher, on flat area east of and above bridge level 19 Classic picnic sites. One fully accessible covered shelter with one table.
Bowl and Pitcher, at bridge, east side 2 Right on the river, just north of the bridge. Great spot if you want to be close to the water.
Bowl and Pitcher, south and east of bridge, near kitchen shelter 45 Lots of tables, some wide open, some tucked away in the woods. With fire grates. River is within ear-shot.
Bowl and Pitcher, Kitchen Shelter 8 Tables in kitchen shelter. Shelter is reservable, so if someone has paid the reservation fee, it's theirs. If not, it's yours.
Bowl and Pitcher, west of bridge 4 Small shelter just above the west end of the bridge protects 4 tables. Great spot, but trails go right by with lots of use. Fireplace, grates
Plese Flats 4 Great, little used area between 7-mile Road and Rifle Club road. Close to the river, large area for throwing a frisbee.
Nine Mile Resort 20 Grassy beach and swimming area,
4 Covered Kitchen Shelters are first come first served.
Mouth of Deep Creek 2 Two nice tables under shade of willows, close to Deep Creek bridge on Centennial Trail (one mile from nearest parking). Worth the walk or bike ride! Then explore Deep Creek.
ORV area 4 Two small shelters and other tables outside shelters on grassy lawn area, restrooms close by, as well as lots of ORV noise. Great for those into ORV'ing.
Spokane House Group Camp area lots Numerous tables are scattered around the group camp area, just north of Nine Mile Falls on Highway 291. Sites are near the river, and well away from the highway, making some of them rather private. Vault toilet nearby. No water.
Spokane House Interpretive Center 3 Although the area is seldom visited (part of the attraction!) it is quiet and pleasant. Visit the center for a history review, and to use the restroom. Water at the center. Open Thursday - Monday in summer.
Boat Launch, Long Lake 0 Nice area for boaters and fisherfolk to enjoy a meal together. No tables at the present time. Vault toilets.
Little Spokane River, St. George's Boat Launch 0 Nice place for a picnic, especially if it is the beginning of a canoe float down the Little Spokane.
